When you create an account, Origin stores your name and email address. During onboarding, you provide health information such as age, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, activity level, dietary preferences, allergies, and budget. As you use the app, Origin stores your meal check-ins, food logs, water and sleep habits, weekly check-ins, weight progress, Smart Coach sessions, and workout plan preferences.
Your data is stored securely in our cloud database, associated with your authenticated account. This allows you to access your information across sessions and devices. Your data is not stored only on your device — it is synced to your account so it persists when you log in from a new browser or device.
Only you can access your nutrition data. No other Origin user can view, edit, or delete your information. Each user’s data is separated and protected by your authenticated account and per-user access controls.
Origin uses AI to estimate calories and protein when you describe what you ate in plain English. The description you enter is sent to our AI service to generate an estimate. We do not use your food descriptions for advertising or any purpose outside of providing your estimate.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time by going to Settings → Account Actions → Delete Account inside the app. This will erase your profile, food logs, check-ins, progress, habits, workout plans, and your authentication account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Origin does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not use advertising networks. Your data is used solely to provide your nutrition and fitness experience.
Origin is not intended for children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has entered information into Origin, please contact us.
